The JCBRN Defence COE in close cooperation with the Military Research Institute Brno conducted a Live Agent Training Course at the Testing and Training Facility “Kamenná Chaloupka” from 30 September to 04 October 2019.

During this 5-day training event, the course participants wearing Individual Protective Equipment, improved their confidence while working in a CBRN environment containing Chemical Warfare agents (CWAs) and Toxic Industrial Chemicals (TICs).

Course participants became drilled and familiar with International Safety Standards. A series of field exercise significantly increased students’ interoperability and improved their practical knowledge whilst handling Chemical Warfare Agents. The trainees conducted detection, sampling, protection and decontamination.

All 16 participants from various countries (AZE, GEO, ITA, KGZ, LTU, LUX, MKD, MNG, UZB) appreciated the support, professional approach and expertise they obtained from the Course Director, the instructors from the JCBRN Defence COE and the 31^st CBRN Regiment from Liberec, Czech Republic. Significant gratitude is further expressed towards the director of the “Kamenná Chaloupka” facility, for the outstanding support provided by him and his team.

The next iteration of the Live Agent Training Course will be conducted from 12 – 16 October 2020; note that registration ends on 31 May 2020.
