Read more: Major General Jaromír Zůna (CZE-A) and Lieutenant General Peter Bohrer (DEU-AF) visited the JCBRN...Based on an official invitation from MG Jaromír Zůna, the First Deputy Chief of Defence of the Czech Armed Forces to LTG Peter Bohrer who led the German delegation from the Joint Support and Enabling Service (JSES) to Prague, the Czech Republic, over the period of 20 - 21 March 2019. The subject of the meeting was regarding the future cooperation between the Bundeswehr and the Czech Armed Forces in the fields of logistics and CBRN defence.

Read more: The CBRN Analysis Super User – Refresher Course 2019It was the JCBRN Defence COE’s honour to continue with the excellent cooperation and relationship with the Bruhn NewTech Company, Denmark. Since 2012, Mr Erik Schmidt Nielsen has returned to the vicinity of the JCBRN Defence COE to conduct a two-day CBRN Analysis Super User – Refresher Course. The course design introduces changes, new features and improvements made to CBRN Analysis, Warning and Reporting software. This program is the current NATO standard for evaluating CBRN events or incidents and is based on STANAG 2103, ATP-45 (E). Repeating his success from last year, Mr. Nielsen trained the course participants together with Mrs. Dorte Sandager. They are both highly experienced as super users, instructors and lectors.

The US Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and the JCBRN Defence COE Training, Exercises and Education Department conducted the final iteration of the International Radiological Assistance Programme Training for Emergency Response (I-RAPTER) Basic Course (ETOC code: WMD-CD-21765). The training occurred in and around the COE in Vyskov over the period 25 February to 01 March 2019.

The JCBRN Defence COE, the Department Head (DH) for the NATO WMD/CBRND Education and Training Discipline, was honoured to host this special event over the period 28 to 31 January 2019. In total 23 participants from across NATO HQs (ACT, SHAPE, JCBRN Defence COE, NATO HQ - IMS, JFCBS, LANDCOM, NRDC-T Turkey), Education Training Facilities (JCBRN Defence COE, NATO School Oberammergau, NMIOTC) and other stakeholders (Joint Warfare Centre, US liaison to GBR Defence CBRN Centre, CZE 31st CBRN Regiment, AUT CBRN Defence Centre, POL MoD CBRN) enthusiastically attended the workshop.
