On the 17th of September 2020, Representatives of the US Nebraska and Texas National Guard (NG) and US Embassy personnel led by MG Daryl BOHAC – Adjutant General, Nebraska National Guard, visited the Joint CBRN Defence Centre of Excellence (COE) in Vyškov, Czech Republic. Both Nebraska and Texas National Guard are State Partnership Program (SPP) partners with the Czech Republic. Through SPP, the National Guard conducts military-to-military engagements in support of defense security goals but also leverages whole-of-society relationships and capabilities to facilitate broader interagency and corollary engagements spanning military, government, economic and social spheres.

The Joint CBRN Defence COE Director, COL David MARTÍNEK, welcomed the US Delegation and introduced his team consisting of Command Sergeant Major, CWO HLADIK, Chief of Staff, COL EPOLITO, and OSD members consisting of the CBRN Reachback Section Chief, LTC MELLOR and Modelling and Simulation Section Chief, LTC HANAK. COL EPOLITO provided the command brief followed by the CBRN Reachback and Modelling and Simulation briefings. The visit was concluded with closing remarks by MG Daryl BOHAC and COL MARTÍNEK. The US delegation was very impressed and interested in the unique capabilities of the Joint CBRN Defence COE.
