On 10 September 2010, the Polish delegation led by Brigadier General Marek Witczak visited the JCBRN Defence COE. He was welcome by the Director, COL Zdenek Cizek.
The reason of the visit was to meet COE staff and to be better informed on how to establish a newly developing COE. This COE should support the transformation process in NATO, within the area of the Military Police.
The visit commenced with the opening address by the Director, followed by the JCBRN Defence COE introductory presentation given by the newly appointed Deputy Director, COL Janos Zelenak. During the visit the Brigadier General and his staff were briefed in the following areas:
- Establishment Process of COEs (the Concept, Functional and Operational MOU)
- JCBRN Accreditation Process
- Public Relations Campaign
- JCBRN in the Local Community
By all accounts, the visit was a resounding success. The JCBRN Defence COE successfully fulfilled its role as the COE advisory body, in assisting developing COEs to achieve International Military Organizational status. We wish the MP COE all the best of luck for the future and look forward to our continued cooperation.
