c_270_180_16777215_0_0_images_PICTURES_2015_DSC_6235.JPG On 20 May 2015, the Deputy Chief of General Staff, Major General Jiri Baloun, visited the Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Centre of Excellence (JCBRN Defence COE)
in Vyskov.

The director of the JCBRN Defence COE, Colonel Jiri Gajdos, welcomed Major General
Jiri Baloun and pointed out the importance and the value of such a visit.  After the Command Briefing, given by the Chief of Staff JCBRN Defence COE Colonel
David Deadrich,  the General was briefed by the Department  Directors on current COE activities, COE manning, and the key tasks relating to the annual Programme of Work.   Following the discussion, COL Jiri Gajdos escorted Major General Jiri Baloun on a walk-through of the COE visiting the CBRN reachback operations room, the CBRN Modelling and Simulation section, and the COE Communications and Information Section.   
At the end of the tour, Major General Baloun hosted an awards ceremony honoring the departing personnel from JCBRN Defence COE.  Major General Jiri Baloun presented the Honory Badge of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic „In Merits“ Grade III to the Deputy Director Colonel  Rainer Schulte and to the Chief of Staff Colonel David Deadrich.  Major General Jiri Baloun also thanked the spouses for their support to their husbands and teh COE.   Following the awards ceremony, Major General Jiri Baloun hosted a luncheon for the awardees and their spouses.
Colonel Rainer Schulte was honored for his outstanding duty performance and superb professionalism as the Deputy Director of the JCBRN Defence COE who provided exceptional support in the area of Information Knowledge Management development and importantly contributed to the cooperation between the NATO JCBRN Defence COE and European Union Military Staff.
Colonel David Deadrich was honored for his oustanding duty performance and superb professionalism as the Chief of Staff of the JCBRN Defence COE who provided exceptional support to the development of NATO CBRN Defence capacities and capabilities in order to develop relationship between COEs, nations and allies.
